Adding a clickable link to your TikTok bio is one of the most-asked questions on the platform, and the answer has a couple of catches. Here's how it actually works, and how to get around the biggest limitation.

The quick version

TikTok lets you add a website link to your profile, but the option only shows up once you switch to a Business account, which is free. Personal accounts usually don't see the website field at all.

How to add a link to your TikTok bio

  1. Switch to a Business account. Go to your profile, open the menu, then Settings and privacy, then Account, then Switch to Business Account. It's free and takes a few taps.
  2. Open Edit profile. Back on your profile, tap Edit profile.
  3. Add your website. You'll now see a Website field. Paste your link and save.

That's it. Your link is now tappable in your bio.

The catch: TikTok only gives you one link

Like Instagram, TikTok gives you a single website slot. If you want to send people to more than one place, your shop, your other socials, a specific video, a booking page, one link isn't enough.

The fix: use a link in bio page

The standard workaround is to put a link in bio page in that single slot. It's one page that holds all your links, so visitors land there and pick where they want to go. You can create one free with Busalab's link in bio tool, with no watermark and unlimited links, then paste its URL into your TikTok website field.

A note on requirements

TikTok changes what each account type can do from time to time, so the exact menu wording may differ. If you don't see a website field, make sure you've switched to a Business account and updated the app.
